Tell us about your role with Inverroy?
I joined Inverroy almost four years ago as the Office Manager and have progressed to Operations Manager. My role focuses on the smooth day-to-day running of the business, which includes everything from HR and finance to supporting projects and refining processes. I’m CBCI qualified (a globally recognised credential in the field of business continuity and resilience), meaning I can step in and support our consultants on client work when needed. This is something I really enjoy as it keeps me connected to the core of what we do.
What made you pursue a career in this industry?
I didn’t actually plan to work in this industry, but I’m glad that I do! After studying business management, I had various roles in both the medical and charity sector. After returning from living overseas for a few years, I was looking for a new job and saw the Office Manager position advertised. Despite it initially being in an industry unfamiliar to me, the role felt similar to what I had previously done, and I knew my strengths would be a good fit. I didn’t expect to be involved much in the resilience side of the job, let alone enjoy it and go on to become CBCI-accredited, but here I am almost four years later!
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
I’m incredibly proud to have led the implementation of a robust Quality Management System and achieved ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) certification, as well as maintaining ISO 22301 – an internationally recognised Business Continuity Management Systems standard – for two consecutive years, and all with zero non-conformities. It was a true team effort which strengthened our resilience and commitment to excellence.
Do you apply your business continuity and resilience skills in everyday life? How so?
Absolutely! As someone who tends to overthink and worry, applying resilience principles in my day-to-day life is incredibly helpful. I like having a plan (and a backup plan!) for things such as travel, family schedules or unexpected hiccups. The past year has thrown my family plenty of curveballs, all while we navigated an international relocation, so my skills have really been put to the test. Having a resilience mindset made a huge difference in staying organised and calm through all the unexpected changes.
What do you think clients are most worried about? Why do they come to Inverroy?

Clients want to ensure their business can continue to operate no matter what happens. That’s why they come to Inverroy. We have a proven track record of helping organisations build resilience and continuity plans that really work.
